Rear sway bar links with 2" BB

So as I was finishing up my BB install at midnight last night, I couldn't get the rear sway bar links to line up.
  1. Axle has shifted, due to track bar correct?
  2. Rear SB links hit on parking brake lines

Is there a common fix?

How bad is it to run without the rear sway bar on a TJ?
I'm not overly afraid of removing the sway bar on one end. I took mine off my YJ and never noticed the difference on the road.

Thoughts?

Leave the rear antiswaybar installed and reconnect it. Your YJ used a leaf spring suspension and was far less in need of antiswaybars like your coil spring TJ is.

Yes your axle shifted due to the trackbar length no longer being long enough to center the axle. A trackbar relocation bracket will take care of that. But I ran my TJ with a 2" BB for several years without the trackbar relocation bracket (axle off to the side a tad) without any problem getting the rear antiswaybar links reconnected. I'd go at it again, you should not have that much trouble getting the rear antiswaybar reconnected.

It's not the lining up that worries me as much, as the rubbing on the parking break lines...

Hell I still had the old lines in there when I was running 6" of lift and still had a sway bar in the rear. You'll be fine. They are steel cables wrapped in steel. You aren't going to rub thru them.
