Rear view mirrior

Hello everybody:

Just curious if anybody knows what specific rear view mirror a 2002 jeep wrangler x is supposed to have. I noticed that the one I have has a compass system with buttons that do not work when I purchased it from the lot. I called the jeep dealership they told me it comes standard at $75.00. The funny thing is I saw another jeep same make and model with the same rear view mirror. Any thoughts would greatly help!

The mirror was optional and was available on various models.

Check out crownautomotive.com. they've usually got good replacement parts.

Ah, I don't understand what you want to purchase. You indicated you have the factory compass/temp mirror.

I think that's the factory mirror but the jeep dealership is saying that the mirror that comes from that model is standard. Then I eventually see another same make and model jeep like mine with the same mirror.

I want to know where I can get that same mirror.

I don't understand what you are saying. This sentence does not make sense.

Ok then it should read "I think that's the factory mirror but the jeep dealership is saying that the mirror that comes ON that model is the non compass mirrior."

That's why I did not understand

- Did they run the build sheet? They can take your VIN and tell you what the vehicle was equiped with.

- Check the connector. It's under the defrost vent panel on top of the dash. Just pry it up
