Reasonable price on a 98 Jeep Wrangler

What would you all think is a reasonable price for a 1998 Wrangler with a replaced motor(16 K miles on it), new rear, and a relatively new clutch a little over 100 K miles on it ?

Thanks for looking!

Lots of variables here. What's it got, the 4 or the 6 cyl? Also, what model is the Jeep?

i used (kind of like a classified section on steroids).. and found a killer deal!!but i ebay'd, autotradered etc for months to find....

98tj (look at my sig) 110k on it 2.5l... great shape... doesn't burn a drop of oil and it doesn't leak anything... $3000... but i looked for a few months to find this deal... it's always best to look with CASH!!.... low ball the guy/insult him.. but have the cash to back it up... heck new engine i'd say offer him $4000 cash as you stand there... then work your way up to $4500-$5000-$5500-$6000 he's probably asking $8500 though?i wouldn't pay that..... in this economy deals can be had if you're patient!! in my case i wasn't in a hurry and found the DEAL!!

98 TJ.. stocker.. 31x10.5 for now... however, "rome wasn't built in a day"!!...Viking Fastback Softop, krylon fusion fenders!!LOL

Got mine last year for $5000.

'98 SE, 4 cyl - 5 spd, Rancho lift, Yokohama Geolander A/T 33 x 12 1/2's (4). Hardtop. Stock am/fm cassette w. 2 speakers. knock off neoprene seat covers for front seats. 98,000 + miles. no jack, slightly dented hood & foglights that weren't hooked up or any switch for them.
I'm not gonna go over that......

Cash is not always the way to go. If you're shopping at dealerships, be willing to finance and then just pay the loan off with the first payment. You'll get a better price because dealerships actually make more money and get paid faster if u finance. Unless of course you bring in cold hard cash, but they still make more with financing. Had a guy come in the other day and drop 33K in cash on a 1500. Took a long time to count. But we could of dropped the price another 500 if he would have been willing to finance.
