i used craigslist.org (kind of like a classified section on steroids).. and found a killer deal!!but i ebay'd, autotradered etc for months to find....
98tj (look at my sig) 110k on it 2.5l... great shape... doesn't burn a drop of oil and it doesn't leak anything... $3000... but i looked for a few months to find this deal... it's always best to look with CASH!!.... low ball the guy/insult him.. but have the cash to back it up... heck new engine i'd say offer him $4000 cash as you stand there... then work your way up to $4500-$5000-$5500-$6000 he's probably asking $8500 though?i wouldn't pay that..... in this economy deals can be had if you're patient!! in my case i wasn't in a hurry and found the DEAL!!

Cash is not always the way to go. If you're shopping at dealerships, be willing to finance and then just pay the loan off with the first payment. You'll get a better price because dealerships actually make more money and get paid faster if u finance. Unless of course you bring in cold hard cash, but they still make more with financing. Had a guy come in the other day and drop 33K in cash on a 1500. Took a long time to count. But we could of dropped the price another 500 if he would have been willing to finance.
