Rebirth of a tj best 300bucks i spent

hello everyone thought i would share my newest toy with all of you! She is a 2002 jeep wrangler tj 2.5 5 speed that i picked up for 300.00 bucks. So far I have spent 160.00 on a 90k motor and about 90.00 bucks on new parts.. so here's a few pics of have far I have come.

waiting for a new clutch to come in also going to do a ax15 swap not going to put to much money into the 2.5 going to do a 5.3 swap! i will keep you all posted

Dang, one of the doors would cost that at a junk yard. Good job , and let us know how the re-build goes.

Thanks guy it really pays off to work for advance auto lol love people with lots of money and no brains! i have been in the jeep game for some time now this is the first tj i have owned heres a few pics of my other jeeps

ok little update got all the interior striped out to clean up the tub and prep it for the bed liner

little rust on the passenger floor board will be all ground down and por 15

first time the doors have been off paint was still on the bolts

Thanks for the offer however i really like her and not trying to part yet! so heres a little back story on the jeep. I work for advance auto parts and do all the Commercial sales for the hole Eillcott city area.. and this jeep was taken into one of the accounts with a blown motor. The junk yards only give 300bucks for cars and truck. I offered and they took! I buy and sell cars all the as a hobby.

anyway, nice jeep. i like the color
you should have just putten a v8 in there instead of a 4 cyl while you were replacing the engine. now that would have been something.

Maryland state inspection is pretty strict so my plan is to have it inspected then do a 5.3 swap i have been looking into the motor now! I going to do an ax15 then do the 5.3 swap asap! I will do my best to keep an update on here.

update she kicked my a## today so didnt take to many pics try to keep the trans in and put the new motor in but that didnt work to well.. so i pulled the trans transfer case all together.. and it fill on me lol got the new clutch in and the rest of the pulleys on and got the manifold done also port matched the manifold to all the gaskets..

sorry to take so long for an update been busy with work and all got the new motor in today on mounts and all

also por15 the floor and frame rails


cleaned and painted the battery tray



then the bolts pulled threw the body on the 4wd shifter so had to beef that up a little bit!

hey jeepers so got her running today !!!!!!!!! after chasing a ground issue down the hole fuse box was grounded bc of a bad sensor go fig that one....

her new manifold! all new hardware as well use 3 studs

way she sits now till my 4.0 p/s pump gos on and the new aluminum radiator comes in !
