Receiver Hitch?

i haven't ever payed attention but yesterday i was going to pull my fourwheeler to a friends but i relized it isn't a normal hitch like my other truck...

class 1 is perm.mount. class 2 is1.25 in square receiver tube. class 3 is 2in square receiver tube. hope that makes sense.

^^^it is probably just a different class, which would require a different sized receiver

Could it possibly be the hitch built into the bumper, this is normally used for recovery and not towing??

The receiver hitch sold by the Jeep dealerships is only a 1.25" in an attempt to keep the towed weight down. Replace the entire hitch with one with a standard 2" receiver hitch. For the $$$, you may want to consider a new rear bumper that has an integrated 2" receiver hitch, they're not that much more than a U-Haul or Reese bolt-on receiver hitch. Olympic makes a nice bumper with an integrated 2" receiver hitch and is what I've been using for years now. You can see it in a few pics on my website, below.

When you have a choice, buy American.
