This may seem petty but I ordered a new Smittybilt receiver hitch clevis. Before it would fit into the receiver I had to grind all the paint off of the shaft and and some metal. I repainted the shaft but it will never protect it from rust like the original paint.

The paint on it was probably not very good on it to begin with. I just rattle can my inserts every now and then...not a big deal.

It was actually pretty thick paint. I just was surprised when it wouldn't fit out of the box.
