Recomendations for Trail riding

So I don't have much done to my jeep just 4" lift , teraflex front track bar( broke my old one in England ) and a rear one not on yet, and a set of 35" BF goodwrench All terrains. I know I need some new gears but I'm clueless on what to get for the kind of stuff I like doing , stock seems fine to me. I wouldn't mind some input on any good mods for trail riding, I don't really care for mud holes but the ocational rock crawl is good. Oh and I want to mount my high lift on the inside of the cab I know there's threads on this a link would be nice. For this I was thinking on the back side of the wheel wells in the gap between the roll cage and the body. Needs some more plans but if anyone has already done it plz let me know.

I'd recommend regearing to maybe high 4's
A winch and towstraps and underbelly skids

I was wanting a mount like that for a hi lift^^^, but cant tell from the pictures how it actually mounts.....got any more pics?

It's a U-bolt mount that wraps around the roll bars, just below the padding...

Hum I guess I should have done that a few years ago when I first thought it was a good place for it and just started using some straps to hold it in place. Guess I'll be buying some u bolts and having a couple brackets made. That's what I get for not following through...
I'd like some more gear talk because I don't really know what to do about that.
And next years tax return is gonna get me some new tries should I go 33" I like the look of the 35s but I'm sure on rough trails I could get some rubbing... Thoughts

Well, basic trail riding can be done in a stock Jeep with 30s or 31s.

However, for the mods you've done so far, you need a series of support mods. 35" tires require steering upgrades, brake upgrades and regearing. The 4" lift requires extended bumpstops for the shock length. For 35" tires, you should add a 1" BL so you can run a minimum of bumpstop length to maximize uptravel. Normally, with a 1" BL, that means 2" front bumpstop extension, and ~2.5" rear bumpstop extension, but with 35" tires without the body lift, that gives you 3" front and ~3"-3.5" rear.

I did alot of trail riding with just a 4" lift and stock gears (3:07's) with 33's. Never really had a lot of problems. I ended up regearing to 4:56 gears and a lsd in the rear just for a little more climbing power and traction. As far as your upgrades i would have to say a lsd in the rear would help out a lot. Made a new animal out of mine. Good luck!

Is that just a gear swap up to 4.56? What size can I get with stock?
And I'm gonna be down sizing the tires to 33s in a year just need to wait for some more $$.
I don't really want to pay for the D44 upgrade.
I will look into the LSD to thanks

Yeah its a swap. Pretty sure that the highest gears you can go and keep the same carrier is 3:73. I didnt want to swap out for the D44 either since it wouldnt really pay off for the offroading I do. Just curious though why are you going from 35's to 33's?

I'll probly be doing that swap soonish I'm trying to buy a house now so the jeep parts must be necessity. Something might mysteriously break.
I'm sure ill flop back and forth on the tire thing it's a whole year away we will see what I come up with. The tread on my tires is still good but they are starting to dry root ( from the English winters) and my wheels look bad for the same reason.
