Recommendations?

Hey everyone. I've read almost every thread in here regarding peeepl's concerns of tire use and size. However, as we can all probably agree, everyone has their own taste, preferences, and style. So I have a 97 tj 4cly 5 speed, everything's stock. I wanna beef it up. want to put black wheels with bigger tires. I'm also thinkin about a 2" BB. I've had my jeep for 2 years now and have only put 11k on it, so i was thinkin that throwing some mt's on isn't an issue since i wont throw many miles on them. how far should i go in size even if i want to try and get the best fuel economy?

i've seen the charts and it "suggests" around a 34 or 35 inch tire, (don't think so, then ill have to add a real susp. lift) So i'm thinkin 31 to 33's, baja's, mud kings, bfg, or the wrangler mt. wont the 33's rub? love the input! also if you have anything similar to my discription don't hesitate to throw up some pics!

with a 2" bb you can comfortably fit 31's w/o rubbing. 32's will fit with minor rubbing on flex and extreme turns. IMO, running 33's is not a good idea for a BB there would be too much rubbing for my taste.

this is my tj w/ 2" bb and 31's

w/ 31" BFG A/T's

You could easily run 33's with a few different set-ups.

This set-up is one of the most common and easiest set-ups and usually cost effective as well. RE 2" BB / JKS 1.25" BL / JKS MML / JKS Discos / 33 tires

x2 a 1.25" BL and 2" BB will allow for 33's.

how would the 33 affect my gas mileage, i mean i probably shouldn't even consider it, it is a jeep. but do you think the 33's would slow me down a lot considering i have 4 banger? probably wouldn't change that much either huh?

I would not recomend a tire larger then 31X10.50 if you do not want to make any mods..

JKS MML wont fit a 4cyl, what about the BB and 1.25"BL on 33's then doing the disconnects a little later. i prob wont be off roading till then anyways.
