Recommended paint for diff cover?

Quick and simple. Another thread got me thinking. I want to paint mine blue, same as my Jeep. Any recommended brands of paint for this job?

Shane

I used rustoleum like a gray mettalic. Looks nice. I would reccomend rustoleum not sure if they carry blue but I haven't looked for blue before..

Rustoleum comes in all sorts of colors.... And don't feel like a turd most any paint would be fine for it, they're all gonna scrape off when you start rubbing stuff against it....

I know the D44 on my truck gets hot. Does a D44 on a TJ need high temp paint?

I don't think it gets that hot. High temp paint would be overkill IMO but better safe then sorry right?

Happen to have a pic of something you've painted with that? I've got a Rokmen Mercenary bumper comming and I was toying with using that paint in black.

If your D44 gets hot enough to bubble regular paint, you've got bigger issues than the paint.

The silver isn't hammered but it is still rustoleum.

You know, Behr makes a really nice baby blue, in an egg-shell finish, that might fit your decor. Does your Jeep have a disco ball or dice? What's wrong with black? Isn't everything under-the-neath (I got that from a friend who's an Ex-Grummanite), black? Decisions, decisions. When it's full of mud and dust, who cares? Can you see it from the driver's seat?

Sorry. Have fun.

I suspect it only bubbled paint when towing. I finally put on an aluminum cover with cooling fins.
