Nope this is what a stock light looks like on a TJ

(minus that big clear rectangle light, thats been added by someone)

I chose to put the round lights on just because I like the look of round flush lights

ahha i didnt want to sound so superficial. so did you have to cut the metal to fit round lights? or is there a round hole behind that stock light?

you do have to cut a hole for the flush mounts like that. so if someone isnt comfortable doin that, its not the way to go lol. there is also a company that makes round LED's that r virtually flush but do not need the cut out. they r pretty pricey tho.

It's not about them being bright or pretty, it's an upgrade because they are flush to the body out of harms way on the trail.

Anyone done a writeup on how to chop up the rear panel for lights? or is it pretty simple once you get it all apart?

I really like the flush mounted look. What are you guys using for plate light?

Well, I was looking around for this install when I was thinking about the round LED lights. I think this site has the best walk through for it, Stu-Offroad(PS: there is also a write-up of moving the evap canister). I ended up just making an LED array in my current tail light till I decided to go to circle ones.

Here are my LED's

Oh and yes you have to cut, here is a pic of the hole behind the light and a outline of the hole to be cut.

Yours look like they're grommet mount, just push em out and the LED replacements push back into place.
