Regear on stock tires

Hey guys first post ever, only had my tj for about a year its a 2000 Sahara 4.0L Automatic and i believe its got 3.73 with a dana 44 in rear
So i f up and went small with 30 inch tires , i plan going 33 with a 2.5lift as soon as the 30s wear out
Can i regear to 4.56 with just 30s in meantime?? Pros and cons on that??

Reason y im doing it b4 hand hoping the regear allow me to do some of moderate 2 hard trails at off road park also have $ to do it now but dont want to lift n tires cuz the 30S still got alot tread left

3 speed auto with stock tires and 4.56 gears will be tough on the highway. You will not see a drastic improvement in offroad capability just with a regear when you are still running small tires. Why not buy 33s and sell your stock tires on craigslist?

your stock gears vs 4.56 with your current setup are not going to make a night and day difference in how the Jeep does off road.

Your ball park crawl ratio(how slow it will go) stock is approx 27 with change to 4.56 its a bit over 33. this is figured by" T-case ratio x Axle ratio x trans ratio= crawl ratio. a 5pd by comparison comes in at approx 40 for the same model year with 3.73 gears and 49 with 4.56 gears. (assuming I hit the right calculator buttons this early in the morning)

However you have an auto so in theory you have unlimited low range as you can just use the brake and gas..
