Regear question

I'm new to the forum but have been doing research for awhile. I have 99 tj 4.0l, 5 speed auto with 68,000 miles. I have a four inch pro comp lift with 33x12.5 BFg all terrains. Dana 30 front Dana 35 rear with 3.73 gears. Engine is 4.0l with I want to put a super Dana kit on the rear and regear both to 4.56. Can anyone give me a good close estimate on how much it will cost in labor to do the regear?

Out this way in Wenatchee, Wa about $2,500 total for parts and labor. Remember with a super Dana you will have to choose what brand of Locker you want. That can greatly vary the price as well as deciding if you want a locker up front in the Dana 30.

For me it was about $1200 for parts and labor for just the gears. So I guess add the price of the super kit and labor to that.

in my experience you can expect to pay around $250 per axle in just labor costs.

Similar to what others have said in my area as I have priced this out. About $1200 for parts and labor for Gears. $2500 with the Super35 kit depending on which locker. I got a quote of $3800 including ARB's front and back but they had the rear ARB sitting on the shelf for a while and were selling it pretty cheap. That included the air compressor installed as well. Did not include upgrading U-Joints or axles up front.

Hope that helps.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
