biggest regret of ever--Selling my Silver "grey ghost" 01 TJ sport. 2 in skyjacker lift with 32 pro comp AT's on cragar soft 8. I loved it, but I loved my daughter who was born even more. it was a sacrifice to get a safer family car. Fast forward 3 years to this january and I am back in an 05 wrangler! I always knew I would be back in a wrangler some day, but not as soon as 3 years. So I am stoked!

x2 on that everything happens for a reason. I sold my last one and now have a 2008 Rav 4, great on gas, safe for my daughter and long road trips with the family, including the 75lb pit bull(lap dog) in the back.

on the rough country. well I didn't do it myself, the PO did. Man I hate it. I was happier when I had a bb skyjacker lift on my last ride. Much better ride quality on/off the trails.

Hey I like the color of your jeep--impact orange rules!

Did that on my jk, corrected that problem by getting rid of the jk. Two birds. I did the cj mirrors on my lj instead. They look better and I can see out of them.

trusting the PO and not checking the jeep as well as I should have.

First the hard upper doors were warped so they let air in.
Second the AC compressor went out in 2 days. 445$
Third the head lights stopeed working 5 hours after I bought it electrical nightmare 500$
Fourth 4" lift done impropperly replaced all shocks and both track bars JKS ajustables 560$
Fifth and worst valve stems are leaking, engine is burning oil bad full engine rebuild 2000$
Sixth he put magnaflow exaust on it and did not put the right cat on it 225$
Seventh all control arm bushings were bad replacing all arms 300$ OEM
I don't even want to total all of that up, I just want to cry.

Had jeeps for years (either Cher or GC) never a Wrangler. Stumbled on my first Wrangler last month--06 Rubi LJ with 4000 miles. Regret--not getting one earlier.

I decided to use rough country. Been as far as 600 miles from home. Or even wanted to go to California? Look more like a savvy lift. Still sorta regret it.

Not replacing the clunky POS transfercase shifter linkage with the novak cable shifter sooner. What a difference!

Current regret--and by that I mean my biggest regret with my current Jeep--is that I did not hold out for an automatic transmission. I was so excited when a 4.0L 3.73 Dana44 soft top TJ with low miles landed in my lap that I jumped on it instantly. I should have waited.

The AX-15 is the only thing I do not absolutely love about this TJ, and I know a transmission conversion is only a matter of time (since I don't intend to ever get rid of this Jeep).

My biggest regret was selling my 99 TJ back in 05. I got a motorcycle and loved it, but it wasn't my jeep... I learned my lesson, bought a project Willys and an 04 TJ. Willy's didn't work out (no title=pain in but). The TJ's not going anywhere though.

Don't fret--there are many, many good Wranglers out there. Follow our (my) advice and decide now what features are must-haves for you, then hold out until you find a Jeep which meets your criteria. Do not settle for something you won't like.

The Jeep with the RE LA suspension was stolen so I'm now running an '04 with a Currie suspension. Aside from the much better Johnnie Joints used in the Currie arms, the other upgrade the shorter Currie arms give is they don't get hung up on the rocks like the RE LAs did all the time. That's a huge "upgrade" to me.

One thing I was glad I didnt have to worry about when shopping around.

I think I regret not waiting a little longer or trying to haggle with the price more. I havnt done any major upgrades yet so I dont have much to regret. Maybe doing a shitty paint on my grille is one.

I am not asking for much really... i6, no rust, no major mechanical issues, not yellow. That is about it

Find one with a d44! That's another one of my regrets not having the d44. Oh well.

Yeah, I've read a few things here lately about the downsides of both RE and the long arm in general. Seems like I'm kind of stuck with it for now though since all the stock frame mounts are no longer there.
