I am wanting to install a remote start on my 2003 Wrangler Sport. It has manual locks, and windows. Automatic Transmission. Does anyone have any suggestions? Would i need a bypass module?
Yea thats what i thought, but i read that even if you dont have power locks that you can still have a remote start system. If it is possible would i have to have a bypass module or not?
with an automatic trans you can get a remote starter with no need to use any type of bypass. with a manual trans you need a bypass module. there are alarms that have a remote start built in and they should also work fine.
Mine is a 97 auto and the remote start works just fine. Not having power locks only means you will not need the more expensive remote starter that has all the lock and unlock features.I had a $50 gift card to HHGregg and had mine installed on my Jeep for $48 out of pocket. So the total on the remote starter installed was $98.
