Removing hard top vents

Hi everybody I did a search but couldn't come up with an answer. So I am getting ready to paint my hardtop before I have to put it back on for the winter. I have not had a lot of time to check it out yet but I did look and I didn't see any screws just wondering if anybody has taken these out before and if you have how did you do it. This hardtop has the long vents on rear sides off of a 98... Thanks in advance...

They just clip in, but I read that it's hard to remove them without breaking the clips off. I just left mine on when I painted my top.

I removed mine to paint the top and broke most of the clips that hold them in. I used black rtv when I put them back in and have not had any problems.
