I had some ugly nasty Light gray, almost white sunbeaten fenders and it really clashed with my black hard top and black wheels. so this weekend i decided to repaint them.
here on the front fender you can see
so i bought some spray enamel to help the bedline stick, and to also decrease the overall amount of bedliner i had to use for an even coat
in the top left you can see the purple sandpaper i used (in the end it was way too coarse of a grit)
got em taken off, scotchbrite and soap cleaned, then i hit them with the sandpaper (and again, it was way too coarse, and i should have sanded more due to some rough looking spots)
i used 1 can of spray enamel and 1 1/2 can of bedliner TOTAL.
in this pic i used the enamel and 1 coat of bedliner.
heres the jeep with the fenders off, and it looks pretty bitchen; even with the antenna turn signals stickin out
and in the end (getting the rear fenders back on was a pain, i lost a few of the plastic inserts that the screws thread into) i think for a 1 day project it was well worth it.
i didnt take a pic of the 2nd coat of bedliner, but here it is all finished. 1 can of enamel, and 1 1/2 can of bedliner.
