I did this primarily to provide head support, so my son is safer in a rear end collision.
Seat came in 2 days for $275 from Amazon. Wow!
The hardest part was getting the bolts out of the brackets. I hosed them with penetrating oil, eased them up a little, then back down, repeatedly adding oil, easing them up a little higher each time. Don't torque too hard.
Also, don't tighten the bolts before installing the seat. The brackets need to be loose to accept the "C" clips. Once they're seated, you can tighten everything up.
This seat is not compatible with Instatrunk. It sits a little further back, and latches in the middle, rather than on the side. You won't be able to latch it, if you have Instatrunk. However, the new latch (see pics), secures to a plate you add to the seat belt plate and seems more robust than OEM.
It feels well made, and it's nice to have new hardware back there, rather than nasty, rusty, squeaky bits.
I'm gonna cable lock my stuff in the back from now on. The plastic ammo can can't be slid up and out without opening the tailgate, so that's nice.
