Replacement Catalytic Convertersss?

First, I'm a recent first time jeep owner. My 03 TJ needs new catalytic converters (4.0 6 cylinder, auto). It has the Y-Type upfront with the two minis. Do I also have to replace the third (?) converter about 2/3rds back?

Am I best to go with MagnaFlow direct bolt on or is there a cheaper/better alternative? I don't off-road but I sometimes pull a light trailer.

Thanks in advance for your help.

To replace the front two... you need to buy a complete downpipe unit. Best price I have seen is on www.rockauto.com for around $350. Depending on your state... there are CA legal models and 49 state legal models.... choose the one you need for your state and emissions requirements.

This pic shows all 3 CATS.... the downpipe stops BEFORE the 3rd CAT...

Thanks. I ordered the MagnaFlow Direct Fit (50209) front converter (y-type w/the two minis) and the MagnaFlow Direct Fit (23297) rear converter. I'm thinking about going ahead and upgrading the cat-back. Let me here your recommendations. I don't want real loud, but would like a little more throaty than stock.

I may need to replace my cats as well, these are the parts I would need too.
I am wondering if you got these installed yet, and how difficult was it? I have been looking for a copy of the install instructions online, so I can see if this is something I can try to tackle myself, but I cannot find the instructions anywhere.
Was it difficult?
Thanks.
