replacement console cover

Hi All.

google, searching here and browsing quadratech plus other sites hasn't helped, i was hoping someone here can.

I have 05 Sport and would like to replace the center console lid. Not an exact replacement, something with a little extra padding and perhaps with an extension so my elbow is comfortable and supported. i've seen similar replacement parts for 07+ but not my 05.

Any suggestions?

Sorry, no leads. BUT, if you find what you are looking for, PM me . Same complaints here.

I've seen the 07+ your talking about. I don't remember ever seeing one made for a Tj.
You could look for a full console used with the padding. Those consoles are a rip-off

still no luck with my searches. i found 1 generic pad that you can put on top of the console (with a strap around the lid). that might add some cushion but still would like something a little longer to provide better support for my elbow on long drives. i'll probably pick up the pad, it was pretty cheap, as a temp fix.

Can't remember how the lid is attached, but could a new longer lid be fabbed and then use apolstery padding, with a covering?

thanks for that idea. not sure i trust my "skills" to do it well, particularly retaining the locking mechanism but i'll take a closer look at the lid tomorrow and see how easy it looks.

take it to an upholstery shop and they can usually build one for you - the marine / boat guys are good.
