Replacement soft windows dont fit

I bought a replacement drivers side window for my 05 Jeep. Someone cut the plastic window, so I bought the full upper window for the drivers side. It finally showed up, but doesnt seem to slide all the down into the holes. I tried bending the posts to fit, but nothing seems to make it better. Closing the door with it on shows big gaps. Am I doing something wrong or should i fuss more with the posts to see if i can get the magic angle? Or should I just send them back? Any hints or tips would be appreciated.

sometimes they can be pretty tough to get in, you probably already tried this but hold the window horizontally level, then put in the first post closest to the hood then you can line them up much more easily. If you try to force it, whats it going to break? they are just poles going into an open hole

Charheep: You bought this from Chrysler or from us (Bestop)?

You can call our customer service folks for some suggestions. 800-845-3567. We make the factory stuff, too, but don't really offer service or support on them, but they may have some suggestions. (I'm assuming its factory, since its a 2005).

And you may need to let the new panel get nice and warm. Take it inside for a few hours, or leave it in sun, depending on where you live.

It was purchased from 4wd.com and its from Smittybilt. I dont think its the vinyl parts of the windows causing me issues, its the metal posts and frame that are slightly off. The order was for a tj window, and it fits about 93% of the way. But there is a huge gap between the door and the window. If its normal to "adjust" the posts one way or the other, I will work with it. otherwise I think I have to return it.

Ahh. I get a little arrogant and start thinking that all soft tops are from Bestop.
