replacement windows

So I am still kind of new to the Jeep scene and loving it. I am looking at replacing the rear three windows on my soft top as the po did not take very good care of them. The rest of the top is in great condition so I don't see the need in replacing the whole thing. How do I identify which top I have to make sure that I order the correct replacements? Or does it even matter? I can take more pictures than are in my profile if that will help someone identify which top I have.

I don't want to hi-jack your thread, but I have a question regarding similar things. haha

I want to tint my windows but am not sure how to go about doing it on soft top windows. Do they need to be replaced, can they be tinted, or do I need to buy a brand new top?

No problem. Mine has the tinted windows and looking in the Quadratec catalog the replacement windows with tint are fairly cheap ($214.99-$269.99) Depending on your model. Those are prices for the Sun-Block window sets. Just not sure if they will fit any top or not.

Big Sarge, before you spend that hard-earned cash go to a motorcycle shop near you and get a product that is used for cleaning/polishing lexan and plexiglass windshields. It would be worth a try to see if your windows will polish out. Mine were pretty bad when I got it and now after rubbing for a few hours they're perfectly clear. Also, some parts stores (Advance, Auto Zone, etc) have this product. It will take a little time and effort, but might save you a ton of money.

Thanks for the tip. I had tried some headlight restore product but it was cold outside so I kind of rushed it. I now know that I can take the windows out so I will look for what you are speaking of and do it in the comfort of my living room...... LOL the things we learn as we go..................

I did body work and clean ups for many, many years. And I can assure you I made a BUNCH of mistakes during the "learning process".

That headlight product won't work too well on your windows. It's way too caustic.

There are two configurations of windows. 97-02, 03-06. Fabric weight, colors and zipper orientation of the side windows changed.

You can't tint clear soft windows.
