I have a 97 TJ Sahara that runs a dual-fuel setup (Petrol & LPG). It runs OK on LPG but the running on Petrol is erratic to say the least. Idle is constantly hunting and any attempt to drive the thing while running on petrol results in it doing kangaroo impersonations.
I'm beginning to suspect that the fault may lie with the fuel pump which is one of the in tank types.
Has anyone exchanged one of these with an external electric pump and if so what pump did you use and how did you do away with the internal one as I'm led to believe that it forms a single unit with the fuel tank sender.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
