Replacing "JEEP" decal on the side.

Has anyone replaced the "JEEP" decal on their TJ? Im looking to replace the "JEEP" and "4.0L" on the side of my TJ and I want them red in color. I found some on ebay for dirt cheap but was wondering if anyone has ever done this and if so, where did you buy them? The factory replacements are like $17 and only come in white or silver I think.

LOL! Only my right side has decals. The left side was damaged and I couldn't save the raised jeep logo. So it's looking pretty ridiculous.

I'm in the same exact situation. I'm just going to go for the ebay one. It includes 4 red decals for like 8 bucks.

You can do it with a hair dryer and patience.... I had a friend and fellow off-roader redo mine in yellow and a few added things...

Try pixeldecals.com... they have a few more colors than you'd think!

Very easy.
Mine originally had these white Jeep and X stickers.

Now it has these...

Just peel the old ones off, clean it good and stick the new one on. I got mine off of Ebay and they worked just fine.

Just be careful, as some of the red vinyls have a tendency to turn pink after a while.

I get mine from pixel decals or amazon. And to get them off just use a heatgun on the low setting. Run it over the sticker for about 1 second back and forth and about 4 inches away. That's all it really takes to loosen things up.

I've always used windex and a razorblade to slide the old decals off. Granted you have to use plenty of caution to keep from scratching the paint. As long as it's clean and you run the razor at a pretty extreme angle you'll be fine.
