Replacing stock Brake light bulbs with an led??

Is it possible to replace the factor bulbs with an led bulb instead?? And or does someone know what size bulb?

LED's

I am in the process of updating interior and exterior lights to LED. Thus far, results have been rewarding.

One Caveat however - any bulb that flashes - upsets the electronic control system, which seems to be surprisingly hysteria prone in an otherwise Rambo tough machine. There are solutions available, and a great amount of information on this site. I just need some research time to find the best answer.

The central brake light, which does not flash, is an ideal upgrade candidate, as are the interior lights.

LED Lights, Bulbs & Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS has an excellent database of lamps for your particular model. I am putting in my second order with them.

In order to convert to led's you need to also replace the relay or the bulb will blink too fast. But yes you can directly replace them as long as you stick to 12V led's

I see you can find LED bulbs to replace stock incandescent - do they work ok with the regular lenses?
