Revers light switch wires

HI!

The cables from the revers light switch are cut (bought the cars this way). I have a new switch in my hands, but I can not find the plug for it. I have done 2+ hours search on the forum, but could not find information that will help me.

Please help me find the plug for the switch. Are the cables, coming form the shift lever opening in the floor?

The Reverse light switch is located on the transmission, usually on the passenger side but not always. What transmission & model year do you have?

Actually, finding the switch was the easy part. I just can't find where to plug the wires. Is the harness coming from the gear lever hole in the floor it is coming from the engine compartment?

The plug will be hanging from the harness that runs down the transmission tunnel, underneath the Jeep & over the top of the transmission.
