"Rhino" type lining

I have see ads for a bed liner that can be painted on or rolled in the flat spots.
I want to pull the carpets and line the beds and it seemed this could be the answer.
Anyone have ideas on this?

you can roll it or paint it on ALL surfaces, not just the flat spots. Go to any auto parts store, they should have several different brands but its all the same stuff-go for the cheaper 'house brand'. One gallon will do a complete TJ tub, end to end, right up the sides. But be prepared for the STINK...it takes weeks for it to air out. Read the instructions, wire brush the surface, clean it good, remove everything, seats, etc. and pull up wiring out of the way. Then start under the dash and work your way to the back. Put masking tape around and cut to shape of your floorpan plugs if you plan on finding them to use them at any time...once done, you will have a bulletproof lining that helps keep rust away! Good luck...

why, they just have 4 bolts? I use a 18V dewalt mini impact on most of them. Maybe 5 minutes to get all the seats out. I used herculiner on my last jeep.

U-Pol Raptor Liner. Not expensive, easy to apply with a (supplied) sprayer, tough, perfect texture, & looks great!

Why does it matter if they search or not? If it bothers you, dont respond.

On the topic, when I go to do this to my jeep I will probably go with the Monstaliner brand. No rubber particles, fade resistant, and nice texture.

I used Herculiner on mine. Total cost me probably $120 by the time I bought the kit and all supplies to do the job right. Just make sure you read ALL the instructions and tape EVERYTHING that you don't want black. The stuff is messy. Prep is key here. It was the thing that took the longest. As far as the smell...no way around it. Maybe if you leave you top off it may air out a little faster. I did mine in the winter so my top was on and windows up most of the time. Run a search on the site and look for this topic. There are several very detailed threads on the subject. Overall I am very happy with the outcome. I see a few areas in mine that need touch up but that is easy.

Agreed. Most of the time when I see a post that has been put up before, there are always new people responding, not always the same people. Posting a new thread will get as quick of an answer as searching most of the time...sometimes faster. Besides, our search function is not all that good. It is TOO general and makes searching for specific things difficult.

There's another reason I'm looking at duplicolor the kit is 70 bucks at advance auto comes with pretty much everything you need and if you ever have to touch up they sell rattlecans for that

Do both lol...put the kevlar cover down first, then cover it with the colored monstaliner

I dont hear as many good things about the duplicolor though.

My actual kit was around 80. I spent the extra 40 on supplies I didn't have. I had just moved and all my stuff was still in transit. Plus...I bought a few higher quality items to help me on mine. Didn't need them but wanted them!

Actually I saw a lot of really good reviews for it, several on wranglerforum actually I would think that Kevlar would make it pretty durable. If someone told me the monsta stuff was better they would be making my decision for me cause I really think red would be cool

I was more pointing out the ease of touch ups with the rattle can... I always use any project as an excuse to add to my tool box too!

The only thing with touch ups...I would think if the liner and prep work was good enough, you wouldnt ever have to touch it up.

I didn't realize the amount of fumes I inhaled while doing this till I was done. That is where touch ups come in!

Ya I would guess there would need to be some touch ups after you pass out on top of your newly done work

Hey I havent done it myself yet so I can't speak from experience on this. But I'd like to be able to fix it if for any reason I had to.

I herd U-pole raptor lining was excellent. I'm planning on doing that at the beginning of the summer. So my top will be off and since I won't be able to drive her for about a month .

I like black too but I think in instances like this where it's a product that 95% of the time you only see in black it looks really cool in a color. My jeep is red so I think if I do the interior in red too it would look pretty cool
