Question Right blinker not working when headlights are on

So my blinkers and headlights work fine independently but when my headlights are on, my right blinker is solid on and will not blink. I recently installed aftermarket LED tail lights and reverse lights and did some rewiring. All the wires that are supposed to go together are together. What could be the problem? Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the tail lights and headlights?

My first suspicion would be that the right blinker is missing its ground connection.

where should I look for that and what color wire would it be?

This was perfect for diagnosing my faulted wire that was causing turn signal failure in the multifunction switch. If your flashers are working and your ground us good and you have the correct bulbs, then you might have a short inside the multifunction switch (try advanced auto parts or autozone, before calling the dealership).

Black is the color for ground wires on vehicles and electronic gizmos (trailers are the exception for some unknown reason). Trace the black wire out of the turn signal bulb housing, it will lead to what it is supposed to be grounded to.

OK will do. Just another bit of info. When the right turn signal is on without the headlights being on, the front blinker is not on while the fender blinker is. When the right turn signal is on with the headlights being on the front blinker is on while the fender blinker is not on. I will see if I can find the ground.

Unscrew the housing, twist the bulb housing out, pull the connectors apart and the bulb out (be careful not to break any clips) clean them and look for corrosion. I swapped my right turn signal housing with my left to see if the housing had a short. You should apply all dielectric grease to all connections to waterproof them, protect them from future corrosion and provide a better connection.

If you have a multimeter you can do an ohms test (one side on the housing, the other side touching a ground). You can also do a voltage test as well. However I believe you are getting voltage since both side and front are powered by the same source from the multifunction switch.

Heres where I traced all of the blinker lights, fog lights and head lights wires to. It's the white wire going to the back of the grill above the headlight harness. I cant remove the washer holding the wire on to the back of the grill. Should I cut it and relocatethe mounting point or splice another wire into it?

Careful, dielectric grease is an insulator and it can sometimes cause intermittent connection problems. Better to use dielectric grease around the connector housings to keep water out but not on the connections themselves.

That's what I would do in view of what looks like a little corrosion around the entire area. Be sure (!) to grind the paint away from the body until it is bright shiney clean bare metal so the ground connector will make a good solid electrical connection there. Wire brush the ground connector ring too so it won't have any corrosion on the side making connection with the body.
