rivet aluminum flat fender

Hey im planning on fabing myself up some aluminum flat fenders out of some 2024 t3 al. Planning on trimming the edges off my beat up stockers and i was going to rivet everything together. Partly because A. I dont have a welder as well as B. i have experience with aluminum and riveting due to being an aircraft sheet metal mechanic. Thinking flat black fenders and the rivets going around the edge being lime green. Anyone have any ideas on how this might hold up of have tried something like this? I figure if this is strong enough for aircraft it should work on a jeep right?
