roadside repair today.

cruising down the highway the power steering pump exploded. the bearing seem to have disintegrated. watched my volts drop and my check engine light came on. pulled over looked under the hood and my pulley and shaft had come out of the core. fluid everywhere. so I walked several miles to an oreillys only to find out they dont have them in stock. made some calls and found one, begged them to deliver it. they did, I tipped them $20. $100 and almost 4
hours after it broke down the jeep was on the road again. running ok,
idling high now though. 1500 rpms.

I dunno. I checked the fluid a few weeks ago and while low it seemed fine. maybe it was just tired. easy repair job, pulling the pulley and putting it back on is a pain and not fun when done on the side of the highway.
