Rock Sliders

I am going to be getting some rock sliders but am having a hard time deciding what to get. First off, are body mount better than frame mount? Second, who makes a good set. I have looked at A to Z fab, BDO, rokmen and many others. Just wondering what you guys are running and how you like them. Any info is helpful, thanks

I got a set of shrockworks sliders on my YJ, they look awesome and are crazy strong.

I believe mine are body mounts, since they slip between the body bolts. They where fairly simple to install.

Personal preference is to go body mounted for me.

I also have the Shrockworks and absolutely love them. Being in an unlimited with no lift - they get tested often.

I'm running the Poison Spyder Rock Sliders. Mount to the tub and the body mounts. Once you get over 18 weeks of lead time they are nice.

How much coverage underneath the tub with these?

About 6-8 inches. Check out this web address to read a little bit more about them.

A-Z, they reach around the body mounts. Unpainted $250 to the door. Landed kinda hard on one, But I can't tell where. I'm happy!

They cost a lot but less than repairing the rocker if I smash it. Poison Spyder I've heard is the best.

I have tub mounted sliders. They were built for me by a local man named Bill Alysworth(sp?). They are the same as what Jack (1blkjp) has on his jeep. They don't go WAY under the tub like most of the sliders but I don't get rocks scraping way under the tub anyway so that protection isn't really advantageous on my jeep or at least the wheeling Ive been doing... rocks usually hit the slider tubes, edge of the tub, or my body mounts first.

The nice thing about frame mounted sliders is that theyd keep your body mounts safe and protected and you wouldn't keep getting snagged or hung up on them. With my tub mounted sliders I get hung up on the body mounts alot since they are exposed.

THe only negative thing I can think of about frame mounted sliders is if you get a body lift... but to adjust for that you could have them simply welded up higher on the frame to get rid of the gap that a body lift would make.

If I could do it all over again I'd take a good hard look at these by Nth Mobility:

I like those Nth gaurds too but I don't think they can accomodate body lifts... but if you don't have a body lift and don't plan on getting one then I'd get that Nth rocker protection.

I have no intention of getting a body lift. I like the way those Nth look! Are they tub or frame mounted?

True. I always forget about those damn body lifts.

They are nice and do cover the body mounts. That's the real reason I like them. However they're $$$$$!!!
