In two areas, you can't get to the back side. I am going to go to the dealership and see about ordering stock fasteners.

I put mine on tonight after work. I got tired of waiting on someone else to try and write about it! The two in the middle and the one in front, you can put washers and nuts on, but two of them, I just put the screws into the sheet metal. Heck, they tightened up real nice. The factory nutserts couldn't be that much stronger. On the bottom, I ran the screws in and they tightened up fine, too. (Except that the SOB that sold them to me said "all hardware included" forgot the nutserts and 2 screws). All in all, I am confident that my TJ has quite a bit more protection on it's rockers than before. Gonna test it this weekend!

The Bolts on the bottom are exactly the same size, but they are hex heads. (same thread and diameter)

My side bolts are pretty small and theres 5 or so larger holes on the bottom. The side ones wont fit the bottom.

The bottom looks like that. Are the holes already pre drilled in the jeep bottom or do i have to drill holes?

I had to drill the holes (sorry, I don't remember the size, I took a nut that fit, and found a bit that the shank would just go through the nut) It took 5 torx screws/bolts for each top side and 6 hex screws w/attached washers on the bottom.

So the bottom screws are not as wide as the 6 holes that are in the Rocker Guard?

No, they aren't, but the larger washers cover the hole. Sorry so long to answer, I was on a Trip!

IF you go to www.stu-offroad.com and look at his writeup on the Toys by Troy side sliders, you can see how he got a nut into those areas where it is hard to get or has multiple layers of sheet metal.

Hey JJ, the new guards look good!

I finally got around to switching out my rubi rocker guards to the Shrockworks sliders yesterday. When I removed the OEM diamond plate guards, I noticed that they used Nutserts in the bottom too. Those were through the bottom sheet metal only. I guess we should have taken one off to look the day you came by. The OEM guards come off and on pretty easy.

Hope that helps, but if those Nutserts are 5.60 ea, it won't be cheap going using them, but might be worth the cost in the long run.

I can attest to the fact that everything holds up pretty good without, as I dropped on a couple of boulders last weekend with no visible effect!
