Rocky Mountain Edition

I have a 2005 Rocky Mountain. Its a 6 speed with a the 44 dana transmission. What would it take (besides cosmetics) to upgrad it to a Rubicon?

thanks

To be honest it would probably be cheaper and much less of a pain in the ass to just sell your 05 rocky mountain edition and buy a rubicon.

"The Rocky Mountain Edition Wrangler comes standard with the 4.0L engine, 5-sp manual transmission, D44 rear axle, 30" tires, diamond plate rocker guards from the Rubicon, fog lights, full-size spare tire on matching rim, and painted Graphite fender flares. It also has a special painted brushed aluminum center console bezel, which looks borrowed from the Tomb Raider Edition TJ. It also comes with the AM/FM/CD player and overhead speaker pods."

I think their two tone seats are the best part about them.

2005 Rocky Mountain Edition Jeeps

I put additional $2,000.00 four inch lift suspension by Skyjacker and Micky Thompson Side bitter 33-12.5R15 rims with Micky Thompson MTZ 33 tires. I have a hardtop, Heavy Duty XRT front and rear bumper. HID headlights with angle eye ring in red because my jeep is red, replaced all lights in my Jeep with LED lights. Just in my upgrades alone I slap around the Rubicon. It also comes down to the drivers skills and off road overall knowledge. I love all jeeps but, my Rocky Mountain edition works great off road. I'm not extreme where I risk flipping my Jeep, damaging my car and risk personal injury. I will tell you though; my Rocky Mountain edition gets respect from professional off road fanatics working for companies like Rubicon Express, Skyjacker, Morris 4x4, Planet Off road, Jeepers 4x4, Miami Off road club and more...

This is the package mine came with from factory. I'm sure I left a thing or two but this is it.
The Jeep Wrangler Rocky Mountain Edition is based on the X package.

· Rocky Mountain Edition: 2005 came standard with the 4.0 L Power Tech I-6, six speed manual transmission.
· Heavy Duty Dana 44 rear axle, Front Dana 30/186mm axle ratio 3.73,
· 30" Wheel and tire group, fog lamp and tow hook group, exclusive decals,
· Matching paint fender flares, Diamond plate rocker guards, skid plates fuel tank and transfer case.
· Unique premium two-tone seats and interior trim with Jeep Logo embroidered.
· Center Dash in Silver
· AM/FM/CD with seven speakers
· Unique Rocky Mountain Edition decal
· It only came in five colors black, silver, red, yellow and blue.

Pictures. We need pictures.

When I bought my 2004 "X" years ago, I started reading these forums and learned a lot about TJ's.

I sure wish I would of started out with a Rocky Mountain Edition.

Be happy!

I love my Rocky Mountain Edition. TJ Dave, Sale your current Jeep if you can and buy the Jeep you want. The positive outlook is the jeep never looses value and you can sale for good money to get you in the jeep you want. Thats what I did and it worked. Good luck brother....

Lol. I will probably be buried in my Jeep. I have a lot of money and time into it. I just wish I would of started with an RME, but there's no reason to start over now!
