roof rack

Anyone ever build a roof rack like a safari rack for there TJ?
Im thinking of one to go above the back seat and mount to the roll bars.
i have an 03 so i have the fatter pads and want to keep them on till i do a full cage.
I have the rack i just need a clean way to secure it to the bars.
any ideas?

not really, i cand remove 4 bolts and have the deck out in like 10 min though if needed. i dont like passangers. backseat drivers are the worse drivers.
on the trail, i keep my spare in the back, my tools in the back, my hi lift and co2 on the deck, and my camping box/extra tools on a hitch platform. i just want the extra room for fire wood on top and things like my tent. i like to go prepared. and i would like to be able to take extras down the trail and the hitch platform is not the best idea for a trail.
