Roof racks

Does anyone have an opinion on what roof racks are good for the money or which ones you wouldn't recommend?

I had an SMittybilt SRC one, had it on for almost 10 minutes, and then realized in wasnt the look i wanted. It seemed strong enough to hold stuff, but wasnt as simple to take on and off to remove tops, as they made it seem. Depends what your looking for

The Smittybilt Roof Rack is a pretty solid rack. You do have to remove the cross bars to take the top on and off. Some other Roof Racks will flip back to allow you to remove the top. If you have a soft top or dual tops, you'll want one that allows you to easily swap tops and take the soft top up and down. The Olympic 4x4 Sports Rack for instance flips for that purpose.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like a quote on a rack!

that's the one I got, and I like it. I did not install a basket, just put crossbars on it to haul canoes/yaks, conduit, ladders, lumber, treestands, etc. doubt I will ever put a basket on it. pretty sturdy, and install was a breeze.

I also thought about getting a rack and basket. I was looking at Body Armor, and it looks like it was built pretty well. Are there any issues installilng these racks to Jeeps with suspension lifts?

I've been looking at the Rugged Ridge Sherpa Rack. I think it looks like a nice rack. I need one for hauling two kayaks.

x3 I have the Kargo Master and it's really well built. I think it's the best out there for the money

Can anyone tell me how much height the congo cage added? The garvin is 1.5" too high so this may be my only hope to get it in the garage!

What is the width between the bars that run longways with the Jeep. I am thinking of getting that one. I have a paddleboard that is 36 inches wide. I am trying to figure out if it will fit without buying the crossbars or a basket. The hump in the bars looks like it might be problematic to use without attachments.
