I recently installed a Rough Country 4 inch long arm kit. Overall I think the install went smooth. The ride is a little better than the short arm kit I took off. Havnt had a chance to take it offroad with this kit yet. I did have some interference with the factory muffler, but it was nothing that a large hammer couldn't fix. I do plan on getting some Undercover fabworks link brakets in the future to help move the control arms in to a more desirable orentation. If y'all have any questions feel free to ask and I'll try to answer to the best of my ability.
Is the ride only a little better than your old short arm? I'm looking at the 4 inch upgrade just to improve my street ride. Did you do the full kit or just the upgrade?
Would you do it again?
I was looking at the Metalcloak set up. Does anyone have any experience with the duroflex joints? I spent hours looking for reviews or real world experience but couldn't really find anything addressing ride quality. They seem to be designed for my situation. A jeep that doesn't do any crawling, just mud and snow.
Get a quality lift like linked above. Currie, savvy, metalcloak, zone....otherwise you end up spending twice as much when you replace everything due to poor ride, broken CA mounts, and more.
Didn't take the time to read the thread huh. He already has the lift and it's installed, with pictures even.
