For normal use and light to medium trail stuff i love rough country. Ran it on my 01 TJ and fixing to put one on the new 06 i picked up. For serious abuse i would go with a long arm, but if you just want the height with decent flex and a reliable kit i recommend this one. Never had a problem with mine.

I have run my 4" RC kit since 2006. Just upgraded it with RC's long arms. I am very happy with it, and for what I have paid and put into the lift, it doesn't owe me anything. It is my daily driver and weekend wheeler.

My rough country lift lasted for 8 months and 4 trail rides before all 16 bushings were rock hard. Its the 4 inch x lift. They sent me new bushings but now its finding time to rebuild every control arm.

Odd, never replaced one bushing in the entire time I had the short arms.

I've got a 4" RC kit on my '06 TJ rubicon, and I agree with the posts above in that it is a quality affordable lift with good performance off-road. However, the ride quality on road is horrible compared to stock suspension... the springs from RC are very stiff compared to other brands, which has a number of pros/cons. One big pro is that the lift won't sag over time (i.e., it maintains the height well). If you are using your jeep as a daily driver on the highway, I'd go with a different brand and/or a long-arm kit. If purely for off-road as a secondary vehicle, 4" RC short-arm is a good option, but I'm kicking myself for not splurging on a high-end long arm kit.
