RPM and Shifting

Sorry for all my posts I am new to jeeps. I have driven a Contour SVT (2.5 V6) since I was able to drive and I shift when driving easy at like 3.5k and cruse at speed at like 3ish or higher. My Jeep wants me to shift at like 2k max and cruse at 1.5k this seems so low to me. My jeep has a 4.0 and a 3.07 gear and 33's. Is this normal?

Thats the ideal RPMs. You're getting the best gas mileage at that range.

i agree w/ everyone, 2 grand does feel a little sluggish, but shifting at 2500 gets you goin nice, no need to go much over 3000
