Rubber gasket mystery

Today I removed the cowling grill to remove debris/fix a leak in the passenger floor board. When I removed it I found three black 1" rubber gaskets just lying in the void underneath the wiper motor. They are covered in grease and are cut. Anybody know what these are for and where they are supposed to be? Thanks in advance!

Nevermind, I figured out they belong on the pivot points on the wiper arm mechanism. I put them back on but I have the feeling they may slip off again. Didn't notice a performance issue with the wipers, but I have the feeling it may wear the motor down without them on eventually.
