I would go with sky jacker if you want a bb. If you want anything other then that go with r.e.

surprised no one has mentioned this..

but which shocks are you looking at?

RE mono tubes = more good
skyjaker hydros = good
skyjacker nitro/RE twin tubes = less good

Skyjacker nitros cost more than hydros...why are the nitros worse than the hydros?

If I've seen the same RE and Skyjacker budget boosts, the Skyjacker kit comes with bump stops for the front and rear. The RE kit (one with the twin tube shocks) only comes with rear bumps stops. The RE kit with the mono tube shocks is an extra 100-something dollars than the other 2 kits.

hydros are more tuned to for the weight of a jeep as opposed to nitros which are designed for heavier vehicles. i.e. nitros will give a stiff ride. Some say if you have a hardtop or expect heavy loads then go nitros. kind of how ome advertises.

I've read a lot a positive posts regarding OME and Skyjacker shocks. I just got back from the mechanic for an alignment, and he told me that there is still some life in my Mopar HD gas-charged shocks, so I'll wait until spring for a good deal. Thanks for posting your comments. Have a good evening.

I really like my Skyjacker Hydros. I switched out my RE shocks too stiff. BTW I read that RE is no longer in business or revamping? I have a 4.5" RE lift with no issues at all.
