I have a 04/05 LJ Rubi-clone I have a 4in pro comp lift on it has been on it about 4 years now and it is starting to wear out... The control arm bushings are starting to get alot of play in them and the rear track bar bushings are really lose too. So I think it is time to upgrade...

I am looking at the Rubicon Express 5.5 long arm kit it has everything I have been looking for and I can get it right at $2200 after tax with my parts discount. I plain on running a 37" tire so that should be plenty of room.

Has anybody used this lift if so comments and pics plz and thx....

If you're looking for control arm and track bar bushings that will hold up, you're not looking in the right place. I wouldn't trust the ends that RE uses to control 37" tires very well for very long.

Then what do you think would be a good choice, that's why I started this thread before I spend over two grand on parts....

Remove ProComp control arms, replace with these: Currie Control Arms CE-9100

Good to go.

Looking a balistic fabrication they make good stuff... But people still complain about there bushings too.....

Ballistic joints blow. Been there, done that. Don't mess with any of the wanna-be joints.....none of them compare to Currie JJ's. Here's just one of many examples: http://www.greatlakes4x4.com/showthread.php?t=155975

Why do you think you need longer arms? What will they do for you? You found the full set of aluminum Savvy arms on 4wp for $800?

Why do you really want a long-arm? Having installed an RE long-arm suspension on my previous TJ, I can only say I finally learned that its only benefit was that its long arms looked cool. My present short-arm Currie suspension works FAR better, especially on the rocks, than my RE LA suspension ever did. In fact, my RE long arms constantly got hung up on the rocks. That TJ's sole claim to fame was when it made it into 4WD & Sport Utility magazine from it having one of its long arms totally hung up on the rocks. Their photographer happened to be watching the trail I was on that day. My current Currie Johnny-Joint arms outperform them in all ways and don't get hung up.

Watched a guy snag his long arm re lj on 37's last week, all of the short arms on 35's had no major issues. Cool looking lj, though.
