rubicon express lift

i am interested in purchasing the 3.5" Standard lift kit for the tj...but i do think i would like to eventually get a long arm kit...and rubicon has a kit called "RE7230 TJLA Extreme Duty Upgrade Kit" and it says that this is the kit you need to upgrade your rubicon express short arm lift kit to a long arm lift kit...just wondering if this long arm upgrade would work with the standard 3.5" short arm kit for the TJ...( so that maybe later i could upgrade to the long arm) ......so, if i was running the standard 3.5" is that specific kit upgradeable to the long arm...and if and when i did go to long arm could i upgrade an inch and go to a 4.5" lift???

thanks

Don't spend money twice.. if you think you will end up with a long arm.. save up, and get it the first time around. I think all the basic 3.5 gives you is new springs and some brackets. Thus you will need a lot to upgrade, if in doubt call RE and ask what the LA kit includes.

What he ^^^^^^^ said. Decide what you want to do, and do it in a manner that doesn't have you redoing things and wasting money... Can add up very quickly! If you think you are going to do a long arm in the future, start saving money now and buy the long arm, SYE kit and tires all at once. It seems like a lot of money now, but it will save you money in the long run for a winch, cage, etc...

If you have to ask what it is or what it does, you don't need it, and you will need help to install it!
