Rubicon rocker guards

I have a 98 tj and just purchased some rubicon rocker guards off of a 2003. I'm going to weld to the frame and bolt them to the body. My question is should they line up and bolt to the frame or is 98 to 03 different? Or a rubicon to a sport that different. Also the fender flare piece that has the threads in the side of the jeep, will the rocker guard just cover these or do I need to drill them out?

Not trying to be a downer but the rubi flares really are more for looks yes they are metal but if u take a decent hit to the rocker they wont hold up that well. If I were you I would save up for some rokmen flares that actually are more functional. Just a thought.
