Rust removal

Any ideas how to refinish winch rollers and plate? The rust is tough on these, I cleaned it with the wire brush and wd40 but no use...
Any ideas how to clean these and then how to keep them rust free? Bedliner? I hardly use the winch.

Honestly just let them sit in gasoline as long as you can, it eases rust and actually cleans things. It takes awhile of leaving it though. As for rust prevention do not bedline them, pick up some por-15 rust protection at your local hardware shop.

Sandblast them then have them powder coated, or buy a new one for $100

Can i galvanize it? is it legal to buy zinc sulphate.
Where would you get it though? I m worried even if I clean it good it may rust again. Maybe I m just over thinking.

So I finally did it... Bedliner on the plate and used this wire brush grinder to clean the rollers. Now if I see the rollers rust again I'll just clean them and either have a thick cot of lacquer or bedliner and do it whenever I use the winch. Which is like 2-3 times an year
