Safari Snorkel

Can you guys help with some tech advice,
I watching on eBay an 2004 tj, it has a safari snorkel fitted which i think is ruining the look of it, also I would never take it deep enough in water for it to be useful.
Would it be easy to remove it or would this leave holes everywhere as I not sure how there fitted. Thanks

If i got you right, you're gonna have a nice hole right where the tube goes through the fender or hood if its a custom.

Sorry I wasn't very clear, I sort of expect a hole down where the snorkel goes through to the engine bay and into the air filter, it's more up the A frame where the snorkel goes up the side to the roof was wondering if it's bolted or screwed on to the jeep.

Snorkels are not only used because of water crossings, they are used a lot in very dusty conditions, like in Australia for example. There are two types of intakes (check ARB). One is a straight opening (some people use it backwatds), and there is a filter type (round).
