I know both of the founders of Savvy very well and I have to say that their designs and products are top-notch. Their product's key designer, Blaine Johnson, is widely acknowledged as a genius on this stuff. Not to mention all their designs are extensively tested, especially hard out in Johnson Valley where any weaknesses will be made immediately clear.

I recently stopped by where they manufacture their stuff to drop some junk off which was my first visit there. Their key manufacturing guy told me how Blaine tested one of their new bumpers with recently released receiver hitch and the thoroughness of the final test shocked me. Blaine bolted the bumper to the rear of a TJ and connected a long recovery chain from its receiver hitch to a Dodge 3500 Power Ram with plenty of slack in the chain and then floored the Dodge. The aluminum bumper suffered nothing more than a very slight bow in it from that dramatic test which I viewed with amazement.

I didn't know just how tough Blaine's tests were for such products until I stood there listening to how the other products were tested with my jaw drooping.

I'm happy to have a bunch of Savvy stuff on my TJ, especially knowing how thoroughly each of their products are tested by Blaine before he signs off for them to start selling them. He takes his reputation for quality and ruggedness extremely seriously.
