I got the bestop vinyl seatcovers. Front and back for 230 at the door. The front seats fit kinda lose and back seat cover fits tight. After a few days of no top and sun beaming the front seat covers shrink up a little and after a couple months they are tight and almost look stock. And they are very durable and everything wipes off easy. They say they aren't waterproof but the water never really gets soaked in or retains it like the neoprene seat covers do.

I also need some seat covers for my tj. Not a big fan of the loose and wrinkled look.

Was originally looking at neoprene - I do lot's of running and mnt biking in the summer with the top off - so sweat and grunge... but every once in a while I need to throw a suit on and go to a meeting in the jeep. Now looking at the Iggies... how do they work in the sun and heat? Sweaty back?

I have a set of covers on mine that have been there since 1999 and they still look great. The original Sahara seats have never been sat on.

They are black and look like leather but they are not. They look OE and have held up to anything. No idea what brand they are.

I get tempted every so often to peel them off so I can appreciate the Sahara seats but then figure they have been covered this long why change now

@ScottyD ... those covers look great! What Igees material choice is that?

Also, any issue yet with heat and sweat with the Iggees covers?

Thanks.

My Iggees. These are about 6 years old and just ordered another set for the front. The backs are still nice and bright. They are very durable.

I gave Seat Savers by CoverCraft. They're canvas with a plastic backing. They are a custom fit, no wrinkles. They also don't get sticky like neoprene covers do.

I got mine at our local jeep shop. I forgot the exact name of them cause it was something weird but I love them. They are neoprene so they are water proof and they look great. But they come with a pretty hefty price tag.. Cost me about 600 bucks for the front and back

I've owned these for a while now great buy!!! they are holding up great ....and make the jeep look great

I got some iggee seat covers for Christmas. They are a bit pricy but I haven't heard anything bad about them. Don't fade, and water proof. Neoprene seat covers usually end up fading and are not waterproof.

Smitty neoprene seat covers. I bought them a few years ago because they offered a free rear seat cover with them.

A couple of straps came right off when first installing them. Like the 8 year old in the factory did not sew them on very good.

They started off black. Now they are kind of brown and purple. I keep the Jeep in the garage too. That is just from the times I take it out.

They are very hot in the summer and will cause sweat where you don't want it.

1,000,000% agree!!!!!

My first set came in with two DS seat bottoms and the rear seat was for 97-02 when I ordered 03-06. The seat backs were sewn so crooked and jacked up that there was no way that even an 8yr old coud do that bad of a job with their eyes closed.

Called 4wdparts and they sent me a replacement set. 2nd set was just as bad. Not one strap stayed on and looked like a bunch of scraps were almost sewn together instead of custom fit. Called 4wd back and told them they were useless. They had numerous complaints and credited me the $$$ and said to just pitch them. Still have them in boxes in basement. Sad thing they can't even be used as trail covers they are so bad. If it says Smittybuilt I keep on moving.

Should be called Shi**ybuilt!

So I hate to open an old thread but my tax returns are making me look at new seat covers. This is what I want, faux leather (not into neoprene) tight fit (no wrinkles) and stock looking. So for around the $300ish range for all seats what would you recommend? Ive been eyeing Iggee's. Anyone have any good pics? The pics I have seen looks like they were just installed and still have wrinkles, do the wrinkles relax and go away? Am I asking too much for that price point?
My only experience with seat covers is with Katskins but I definitely dont want to spend that much money. Advice? Pics? much appreciated.

I tried finding some pics for you when I had them on my JK. No luck sorry, but I can contest to the great quality and fit. Folks thought I had black leather from the factory. Fingers hurt for days after install because they were so tight. I almost got them for my TJ, but ended up painting my seats black. Looks like I have brand stinkin new black seats. And much cheaper.

I am on my second set of Coverking neoprenes -- first ones lasted almost six years. They did start to fade after about four years, and that is really the reason I replaced them. They were still serviceable and would have lasted several more years. No issues at all with straps, they fit nice and tight, and they look good. They are comfortable.

But when these go, I will be getting a set of Corbeau Baja RS seats. Very nice, comfortable, suspension seat. Definitely a good option if you can afford a little more money. Just my .02

Other than sore fingers how hard was the install with the Inggees? Did you have to remove the seats?

I didn't remove the seats. However, I can see how that would have been much easier to get the right angled to pull on it. It wasn't "difficult" just like putting a tight glove on...have to shimmy it little by little.
