seat cover suggestions for a tj?

I guess the first thing I wanna do is get seat covers. I did some searching but I am confused, what do you guys use or suggest?

My jeep is for me and the dogs to hunt and fish with. I put Hatchie Bottom camo's in. Custom made and fit great. Bought out of Cabela's. Price was reasonable. Good Luck

I too bought the Cabela's seat covers in camo & black. They match the green jeep nicely and are super durable with my constant side-kick, my 100 pound dog.
Would have loved the WO covers, but too pricey and I feared the dog might tear up the neoprene.

I like my bestop ones. They're a little baggy but they're made of a tough canvas material and waterproof.

I just got some CoverKing neoprene covers. $250 from Amazon for the front and back seats. They look great, but I haven't had them long enough to say how durable they are. I had an issue with how the driver's back fit and they sent me a replacement no questions asked. (the cutout for the lever was not aligned properly) Impressed with that and they are made in USA.

Planning to order these, from amazon they are more cheaper.

Alot of guys on here have had the neoprene and don't recommend. I'd do a little more research.

I can tell you what not to get!

Smitty neoprene seat covers. I bought them a few years ago because they offered a free rear seat cover with them.

A couple of straps came right off when first installing them. Like the 8 year old in the factory did not sew them on very good.

They started off black. Now they are kind of brown and purple. I keep the Jeep in the garage too. That is just from the times I take it out.

They are very hot in the summer and will cause sweat where you don't want it.

Check with a upholstery shop, I had my seats recovered with marine vinyl. No need for seat covers and still no need to worry about getting them wet.

Some people do like the Neoprene...I can see it being a good thing in maybe Co or Montana, Minn, Maine, Canada. It would help with a cloud burst or maybe a wet dirty dog or muddy clothes while out wheeling so that it would almost wash off easier. I have had a couple sets (yes I did it twice 3 times actually) and never found a set of Neoprene that was comfortable from about May to Sept/ Oct.

If water or Mud is an issue, I would recommend Bestops vinyl, other than that look for some made out of regular cloth......there was a member on here made set covers out of fleece hoody materials.......best set covers I ever had!! Liked them so much I ordered a second set..love the Dirty Mudders...unfortunately she doesn't ,make them any more.......

Since no one has mentioned them.. I recommend Iggees. I paid $300 for 2 front covers and a rear cover and I love them. I originally purchased some neoprene ones from Amazon and they faded within a month so I returned them. I'll never look back

Crappy pic but they really are awesome

Iggee. I had them on my last Jeep and they are the only covers I will order for this one. Quality and material is great in my opinion, and they fit like a glove..a tight glove. Easy to clean, no issues with fading and stench like some neoprene covers have. Just my two cents.

I'm liking my Iggee's so far They have settles in nice and snug around the seats, and look great. I've had a couple people ask about the 'leather' in my Jeep now, lol...

UPS just delivered my Iggees today. Slid them on, they look great. Ordered all black. They are soft, and look like leather.


Just got to be a bit more careful when the doors are off, to stay in the seat!

Nope, I have them and like all Smitty products suck.

The little hooks that strap to the seat break all the time, i had a bag full of them and went through them all. I finally gave up on it and just deal with a floppy seat cover. They turned purple in less then a year and my Jeep is in the garage almost all the time, maybe if you get a different color then black you wouldn't have that problem.

To be honest, they look pretty cool, but don't plan on storing stuff in the pockets if you have a soft top or no top. They are one of those things that seem like a good idea at first, but then you realize there is no real use for it.

Bestop seat covers are great. Mine are 12 years old now and are still holding up just fine.

I have WO neoprene. They're 6-7 years old and the drivers side is torn where I get in and out, the black has faded and red piping has worn off.

I just bought new rugged ridge seats with black denim fabric.

Hmmm..I will have to check the IGGEES...I have some Wet Okoles in my Vette since I drive it to wrk and wanted to protect the leather...the have done well but it doesn't sit open so I may have to rethink my choices

I have CoverKings.... do I recommend them?

NO!!!!!

Bought in May 2012... Black and red..... by August with the top off they faded to an ugly pink and the black has turned to a grey is spots. I even used UV protectant on them and they are NOT warranted against fading.

What color do you see?



I also have a 4" lift.... the driver seat now has a hole in the side where you slide in and out all the time.....

I am going Iggee this year.
