seat mounts

Does anyone know if the TJ came with the seat mount on the drivers side like the one on the passangers that will fold all the way forward. If not is the passanger side mount the same as the driver. I am wanting to be able to access my back seat area from the drivers side like you can from the passanger side. thatnk you for any help on this.

I believe the fold and tumble drivers seat started in 2000, my 2000 has it. I believe it is a bolt in if you can find a drivers side fold and tumble seat, I don' think you'd want to use a passenger seat even if it would bolt up because the tilt lever would be on the console side instead of the door side.

It will fold all the forward, reach underneath of the seat, feel around and you will find a lever, push down on it

Mine is a '00 and yes it did come with both. My passenger side's lever is mounted on the outside, closest to the door so it's easy to move it all the way forward.

ok.... I feel dumb! I have looked under the driver's seat of my 04 X model and doesn't look remotely close to the design of the pass side fold and tumble.

I have had my seats out and never really noticed a lever that you can push down on under the driver's seat.

Was this an option on only certain models?

right now my passenger side seat only folds the back of the seat not the whole thing. but my driver side by pulling the tap everything folds forward.

now my question ...is the only way of folding the passenger side all the way forward is by that lever under the seat? isnt it suppose to be like the driver side (by pulling on the tap)?
