Second chance TJ!

I've always wanted a wrangler, and was in search for one finally. i got a call from the dealer I buy my vehicles from to say he found a jeep that had a "bad frame" so couldn't be sold. I have done numerous jeep frame repairs, Aswell as other makes. So I said bring it on...at the right price!

2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport
4.0, 5spd, 91k.

How I got it:
The interior was disgusting, flares faded, center frame section rusted, top dry rotted and leaking, fenders rotted, leaking coolant, needs tires, sometimes wouldn't start and other basic stuff.

Plans:
Basic stuff, suspension, wheels/tires, fix issues and make it reliable. Don't plan on wheeling hardcore truly, just a nice jeep to take on the occasional trail. It's my daily driver.

How i got it:

Parts I bought:
Smittybuilt soft top with tinted windows
(4) cooper at3 tires 30x9.5x15
Starter
Battery
Radiator
Blower resistor
New carpet
Rubicon express 2" Lift (BB)
(2) new fenders which I herculined
Added a tow hitch to tow the boat

So after all that it looked like this:

Drove it like this for awhile, got bored and planned on selling it. I need more room, so I planned on trading it in for towards a jk 4dr. Then decided to give the tj one more chance. So I bought some more parts.

(4) falken wild peak 33x12.5x15 tires
(4) Jegs 15x8 3.75BS Wheels
3" spacers for front suspension (kept 2" in rear, so it's level)

This is how it looked:

Then decided it was time to fix the frame, aswell as more basic stuff.

Frame repair caps for center sections (autorust)
Removed running boards while fixing frame
Rear "xtreme" bumper caps"
Front oem bumper flat caps
Wheel center caps

Ill grab some pictures shortly. I like it a lot so far, glad i stuck it out. Future plans involve herculined bumpers, remove front fogs, maybe real suspension. Still need more room so a new grand Cherokee or wrangler may be in the works.

I'm into it now for what it'd sell for. So that'll be nice to at least break even. Prob worth 7k? Now I'd think

I just bought my 1st Jeep too. Had to put a new motor in it this week. I'm still on the upside, so can't complain.
You've turned out a nice Jeep there.

Oh ya oneonta is about an hour away I believe. As for getting an LJ, they look weird to me. I meant more room as in 4 doors. So it's either a JK or a 11+ grand Cherokee. Most likely a JK.

Thanks for the compliment. Its come a long way. Looks so much better without running boards and addition of bumper caps. I know most people buy new bumpers but I like the factory ones. Simple and lightweight. I need to get some new pictures. Maybe today

Look forward to seeing it without running boards. I've been considering that myself.
