Sell a 97 for 03

I am thinking about selling my 97 TJ with 4.88, 4.1 Case with detroit F&R on 35s 4 inch sus and 1 body with 158xxx for a 03 Rubicon stock gearing with a 4 inch lift on 35s with 91xxx for 14,500 dollars. Great shape owned my a couple in their 60s. 5 speed manual. How are the stock lockers on the Rubicons in 03? Whats the gearing. Should I do it whats your guys advice?

Rubi is 4.10

Yours have stock axles? Sounds like yours is already built.

No I have a Dana 30 & 44 the 30s stock Broke the stock 35. Mine is in need of a paint job and i just want something new with less miles. 03 are distributorless huh. The man selling only used it as a summer driver sat in garage for winters. Hardest off road it been on is flat dirt road hes says. KBB is 12,000 for a 03 rubi for 14,000 is about right with a 4" and new bfg 35 a/t's. Can the stock lockers hold up to crawling? I dont know too much about the rubi lockers.

Iv never rock crawled, I'm limited to dirt trails, mudding and beach. So you'll have to wait for someone more experienced. Im pretty sure that the rubi lockers will hold up.

Paint, interior is sun faded. Just cosmetic but..... I thought a tj is a tj until 05? I dont want a 6 speed, 5 speed only. What the difference from a 97-04? minus the ignitions? Same tranny and 4.0 right?

I had a 98 before my 97. 98 was totaled, got rear ended by a teenage girl texting.

My 97 tj Sport with 191k miles gave me fewer problems and was easier to work on than my present 04 Rubicon with only 80k miles on it. I'd much rather have my 97 back that was stolen 2 years ago. If I were you I would keep your 97.
